OOOH the relief of having an idea in your head and finally being able to put it together! Did you guys get a chance to order your Riley Moose yet? Sounds like they were flying off the shelves over at Splitcoast when Kristi from Hanna Stamps released them early last week! This little guy is a hot ticket & I can totally understand why! He's totally fun to color, and even an amateur like me can make him look cute, even with my limited coloring skills!
This box is another great acetate box from Creative Cuts and More, called a "Peek-a-View" box. It's exclusive to Creative Cuts & More...they custom designed it! I COMPLETELY enjoy doing clear boxes with acetate, because you can highlight the candy inside and make fun little puns with the candy! This one popped into my head because I knew little Riley here might be drinking too much green beer for St. Patty's day. He definitely needs hangover pills after the big celebration in March! (I'm pretty sure he's from St. Paul, MN.) So I filled up the box with Mike & Ike's so he has something to munch on. The cool thing about this box is that you can make it taller or shorter, depending on where you adhere the top & bottoms of the box. I wanted Riley in the middle of the acetate, so I used Killer Red Tacky tape to adhere the acetate to the bottom and tops of the box, in exactly the position I wanted it. This stuff will hold a construction worker to a steel beam! Ok, I'm kidding (does anyone remember that superglue commercial?). But it does hold really well, and it's barely visible on the acetate.
There's a faux bottom in this box too, because it holds a TON of candy! I filled it with a BIG full box of Mike & Ike's, and part of a partial one (the ginormous boxes).
I'm blaming the partial box on Bevie Pearl. That's my story & I'm sticking to it. Ok, I lied. It was me, I ate most of them. And left a lotta green ones. Yuck!
