Dance!

After everything died down here after CHA, I finally got to sit down and play with the new Pink Paislee "Pop Fashion" paper line! I had my new Crafty Secrets "Girlfriends" booklet in front of me, and HAD to combine these sweet party dresses with the fun, flirty pinks in the Pink Paislee paper!
I love it when a card just comes together like you wanted it to in your head (which doesn't happen for me much lately!) I used up old accessories that I had in a jar on my desk like glittered flower stickers, Kaiser paper flowers and some old epoxied page pebbles sentiments. It just goes to show you, don't ever throw old stuff away, because some day you may actually use it! That's what I tell myself anyway.

Pink Paislee, meet Crafty Secrets!

I gotta tell you, after CHA I was dying to use my new Pink Paislee Pop Fashion Paper in some projects! I found their blog too; I'm officially a groupie now!

I love that this shabby paper can either be vintage shabby or clean and modern. I paired it up with some birthday birdies from Crafty's "Bird Lovers" set and some Kaiser white paper flowers. I also pulled out a roll of vintage crepe paper that I had in my stash, and decided to make little gathered 'skirts at the bottom of the papers for extra "ruffly" girliness.

I decided I love this layout on the card on the left, because it showcases 2 patterned papers and the ruffles at the bottom! More to follow with this layout soon!

Here I cut the Kaiser paper flowers in 1/2 so that I could use them as corner embellishments. They give a flowery feel without leaving your focus on the one big FLOWER.

The world is a canvas.

I have to show you guys my favorite make and take from CHA. Chatterbox had the COOLEST, most fun make & take EVER! They had a table FULL of buttons, bling, felt flowers, frames, wings and yummy, lush ribbons, and there were...GET THIS.....*NO RULES*!!!! You could sit and just create and do WHATEVER your heart desired! It made me sit down and refocus on my creating. Sometimes you just need to sit down and run with whatever you feel like doing. I made a mental note to go to that 'NO RULES' place when I sit down at home and create, because it just felt GOOD!
This is the little frame I created for my make & take. It's a big old mess of STUFF that I loved. I can't wait for Chatterbox stuff to start hitting the stores!

Check out the blingy birds and trees and buttons!

Penny Black Acrylic Set - Bubbly

I'm in that mode again, where I'm trying to use up scraps of paper from my patterned paper stash, in anticipation of all the new paper lines that are coming out this fall! I'm USING IT UP!

I made these cards weeks ago when I was in crank'em out mode. The sweet little hedgies are from a Penny Black Acrylic set called "Bubbly" that I got in my last Eclectic Paperie order. The big "T" in the circle is a monogram stamp from "Just Rite". The cute little bracketed "Thanks so Much" stamp is from an acrylic Hero Arts Thank you set from Archivers.

The Hedgies are colored in with Copics, using the colors "Dull Ivory", "Sand" and "Light Walnut" to create the triple layer of color on their little bodies. Paper is By We R Memory Keepers Precious Metals line, and the green polka dots are from a Making Memories Chelsea's Place paper pack.

I'm stamping up a storm this week so more to follow.

Happy Monday!

Basic Grey Lushness

Basic Grey's booth was beautiful. It reminds me of patterns from the 1970's, only not so ..err...1970'ish. Lets call it 1970 with an updated, urban, 2008 twist.

Basic grey has lines of fabric now through Moda.

HO HO HO. Merry, ah...Thursday?

I have a quick announcement....Sandy from Crafty Secrets just announced that she's doing a blog candy drawing on the Crafty blog for the new HALLOWEEN stamp set! WIN IT BEFORE YOU CAN BUY IT! Head over HERE when you're done drooling over the CHA photos, and get yourself entered! I'm thinking Christmas tonite, because I wish my house was a little...errr...cooler. I'm keeping the air off so I can afford stamps this fall!

This is brand-spankin-new My Mind's Eye Christmas paper. You guys, I'm not even making a dent in these photos. You can yell uncle when you're sick of me posting CHA photos, okay? Let me know if you're on overload!

This is a brand new product called "Swirl" Glitter Glue. It's similar to Stickles but has 2 colors in each tube, so you get a swirl pattern of glitter when it comes out. The glitter is INTENSE! Very cool!
You'll be SO surprised when you see the new Chatterbox papers! OMG! RICH! And sparkly and gorgeous! The little boxes and the gingerbread house are done with some of the new Chatterbox products!
