Lockhart Sympathy Cards

I thought I'd post more of the cards that I've done recently with the Lockhart stamps I ordered from Ellen Hutson. This crock full of hydrangeas is such a favorite stamp of mine now, because it can be birthday, sympathy, thank you, get well,.... just about anything you want it to be!

I made this set of cards from a Marcella paper pack that friend Bevie Barton sent me. I love when she cleans out her stamp room! :) My Grammie requested more sympathy cards because she ran out of the last batch of cards I made for her, so I thought these would be perfect. I turned some into get-well cards too. (Thank you, Bevie!)

I'm also using up old Prima flowers! These lavender primas matched the paper perfectly! Bevie even sent me the matchy-matchy ribbon with the paper!

Lockhart Geraniums

More cards from my stamp-a-thon/100 card weekend! These are the Lockhart Geraniums that Ellen Hutson sells in her online store HERE. I put in a big order a while back and had SO much fun coloring these in! I was on a thank-you card kick. The cool fonts on the thank-you sentiments are from a Hero Arts acrylic set from Archivers.

Paper: My Mind's eye/Jen Wilson's 29th street Market line.

Butterfly Thanks

I'm embarrassed to admit that this stamp has been in my stamp pile for years and I just recently inked a bunch of them up at my stamping retreat and colored them in for thank-you cards. This is an old Hero Arts border called "Fancy Butterflies". Remember when border stamps were hot? Here's a new use for them....stamp em and use 'em in this layout!

The paper is more clearance paper Daisy D's "Picking Daisies" - Cornflower paper. The little flower stamp is from a Stampin Up Sale-abration set, called "Merci".
For the flower centers, I used Stampendous Dot Sparklers stickers. They are irridescent and shimmery, but are flat, so you don't have such a bulky embellishment when you go to mail your cards. The post office loves them! :)

Green Bugs

OH MAN! I have so many photos to post from my speedstamping weekend last week! Sorry I've been missing for a while, I have been playing CATCH-UP for a couple of weeks now and needed to take a little break from the blogging thing. This week I'm shooting for new posts every night. Even if it's a quick post to say HI and BYE, I'm going to GIT R DONE and show you a ton of the stuff I made last weekend. Actually I have photos from WEEKS ago that I haven't posted yet. So stuff will be COMING ATCHA!

Before I left on retreat, I made a trip to Archivers for supplies and got into the .33 cent clearance bin there. I scored a TON of older paper that I had always wanted while I worked there, but never bought. The orange paper on my banner is old Carolee's Creations "Screaming Dots" halloween paper! I grabbed it for Halloween projects this year, but decided that it didn't need to necessarily be used for Halloween! So here it is with the Crafty Secrets bugs from the "Bugs Life" set! Crafty Secrets allows you to sell your cards created with their stamp sets, so these will go to work with me to be sold. I don't think you can see it in these photos but the bugs wings are colored in with a Sakura clear gelly roll glitter pen to make them shimmery. Also the green buggy's belly is glittered in to make him shimmery too!
AND I AM USING UP EYELETS! GET 'EM GONE!

Spring Take 10

What's cookin tonite, friends? Tonite I thought I'd post some Crafty Secrets cards that I made for an article in Take 10 magazine's Spring issue. I was so excited when I got the magazine in the mail a few weeks ago! The cards were all done using a "masterboard", also known as a "one sheet wonder". Full details on how to make each of these coffee chickie cards as well as creating the masterboard are found in this issue. There are SUCH rockstar stampers in it! Jen Del Muro has some cute bunny treat bags in here, and Lori Craig has her awesome split negative cards in there too!

All of the cards were done using the Crafty Secrets Coffee & Tea girls. I did these at the cabin last summer, and wistfully remember sitting in the screened-in gazebo, putting cards and instructions together for the article. SOON, VERY SOON it will be summer and warm weather and barbeques! I'm SO ready for it!

Bella Bliss

Oh I miss my bellas! I have not played bella in a LONG LONG time! I was able to pull Sposabella out a few weeks ago and create some simple bridal cards with her.

I had some Piggy Tales "Dame" paper in my paper stash that needed to be played with. The cards are sort of non-traditional for congratulations cards, but I didn't care, I just wanted to play BELLA and go all girly and glitter something up. I glittered the HECK out of her cute dress with dazzling diamonds.

Hanna Paint Bucket

Here's what I worked on tonite for the brand new Hanna Stamp release this Friday! This set is called "Tool Time" Hanna and you are going to LOVE all the cute little accessories that come with the set! I thought she'd be PERFECT to decorate the Stampendous paint cans, since this set comes with a miniature paint can that you can color to match your paper.

I used Basic Grey "Ratine" patterned paper from their "Urban Couture" line to decorate the outside of the bucket, and then I stamped Hanna and all of her paint accessories and tools on white paper, making sure to stamp them toward the bottom of my white paper, so that I could cutthe strip out for the bottom of the can. I colored everything in using my Copic markers, which you can now get at the Hanna Stamps website, in awesome color combos!

I couldn't resist using the doggies from the Hanna "small breed" set on the can, since I thought they'd be really good assistants for Hanna. The one on the top took a painting class. To help her paint, you know.
