Eat, drink and be scary.

Happy Monday! Thankfully it's almost over, and we're 4 days closer to the weekend!

I have to post a few more Crafty Secrets Halloween cards tonite...I know it's SO NOT RIGHT to be posting Halloween samples in August...I mean, why rush the holiday, summer is NOT OVER yet! But I'm waiting for my other Crafty Secrets stamp sets to arrive, and so far I only have the Halloween Fun set in hand! And you know how I am, I can't just have NEW RUBBER sitting around not being used! I have to TEAR INTO it right away and start creating.

The card on the left was made with this cool image from Crafty's new Halloween image booklet. I love these crabby people with witch hats on, it looks like they're SO NOT having a good time! I stole the words "eat, drink and be scary" from one of the journal notes in the booklet, because I thought it fit their expressions perfectly! The middle section of this card opens up to reveal the sentiment inside. I used the black cat circle image as a closure for it, so when you fold the frame down over the picture, the cat holds it shut.

Glitter-girl here had to bomb the images on the card with Martha Stewart silver glitter (white gold color).

These pickle-pumpkin images are so funny! The heads are pumpkins and the bodies are pickles! They even have a pickle-dog friend trick-or-treating with them! I colored the pumpkin heads in with Copic Sanguine and the bodies with pale olive and moss colors. The shading around their feed is warm grey 2 (w2).

I love the little border that comes with this set...here I've colored in the white sections with sanguine to make the border black and orange. The border is actually meant to fit inside the witch shoes, ala Wizard of Oz, dead-witch style!
