Vintage "Best Blossoms" Set

I snuck in a little stamp time this morning before heading over to the Mall of America to work at Archivers for Scrapfest today. I love getting up on a crisp Saturday morning and heading into my stamp room in my pajamas to create when I'm fresh and alert. I'm obsessed with this new Cosmo Cricket paper line, "Gretel". It just feels like fall to me, still slightly flowery but with fall browns, oranges and sky blue. It occured to me that the paper I used yesterday would match this old "Best Blossoms" set, which was a freebie Sell-A-Bration set from Stampin Up in 2006. I love giving new life to old stamp sets...there's a reason I hang onto my favorites and don't sell them. I really do go back to them! So the blue paper is the stuff I glimmered up yesterday with glimmer mist (Cosmo Cricket Gretel: Autumn). All I did was stamp the large main flower from this Best Blossoms in the center of a square of the blue paper with versamark, then sprinkled heat and stick powder to it, heated it up and then added my fave. brown Making Memories glitter to it. Heat it up again slightly and the glitter is infused in the heat and stick powder. The brown floral paper is Gretel: Fairy Tales and the other strip of paper is Gretel: Woodland paper. I spritzed gold Glimmer mist onto the woodland paper also so it shimmers.
I want to play more with this set and paper. More to come!

Beautiful! AS always! Will have to pull out my glimmer mist! How do you keep your paper from warping?
