Blog candy - I am thankful for YOU!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow and to say THANK YOU to my family, friends and all my sweet blog readers! Kristi from Hanna Stamps has generously donated a brand new release sentiment set "Things Hanna would say" to each of the design team members to give away over Thanksgiving! So you have 19 chances to win this set before it is released!

The sentiments in this set are designed to coordinate with all of the Hanna stamp sets, past, present and future! Each design team member will be posting a different sentiment on their blog & giving away this set!

I only get to pick one of my favorite dishes??? It would be Sweet Potato Casserole, YUMMA! I really enjoy all the dishes and turkey is my FAV! Most of all I look forward to being with my family for the holiday. Enjoying the kids as they come home and tell us how much they miss ME!

Stuffing is ALWAYS my favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving. My secret recipe...STOVE TOP! Although this year's stuffing is leftover from our last church dinner! It was homemade!

This is easy for me! We always go to dh's brother on Thanksgiving evening. We decided years ago, to quit having a big meal, since we both have big meals with the other sides of our family. We have left overs for supper.
I look forward to a plate full of left over mashed potatoes topped with homemade noodles. They are so yummy after simmering all day on the stovetop!

The smell of onions and celery being sauteed in butter ... you know it's Thanksgiving because Dad is making his famous stuffing. This is one of my best memories, and certainly my favorite part of the meal ... stuffing ... mmmmmm!

I love the crusty parts of the dressing. I can skip the rest of the meal and just have that part. No gravy just the yummy crust.

My favorite Thanksgiving food is Mom's pumpkin pie.

3/4 brown sugar
1 tbl flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp pumpkin spice
1 1/2 cups pumpkin
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 slightly beaten egg
2 tbl dark molasses

Mix sugar, flour, salt, and spice. Add rest of ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour into 9" pie pan lined with unbaked pastry. Bake in very hot oven (450) 15 min. Reduce heat to (325) and bake until firm or about 40 min. Cool before serving.

Serve with a dollop of Cool Whip of choice and sprinkle with Pumpkin Pie Spice.

Every time I make this people fall over. Very Yummy!

This year my kids are with their dad in SC so my DH & I are alone and will be having steak instead of a traditional dinner with all the fixings. I really miss my former Grandmother in laws Corn Casserole. I wish my kids would bring me some home.

We went to a buffet for the first time on Thanksgiving. The prime rib looked really good. Instead of turkey I had prime rib and it was sooooooooo good.

My favorite is a new dish....brussel sprouts w/sweet potatoes, some pecans or walnuts and a little bit of maple syrup, all mixed together and baked in the oven for a bit. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

I am so excited about this new line of stamps. I am getting together with my mom and sister-in-law in January for our yearly get together. We introduce new things to each other as a group for new ideas. Mine is going to be Hanna Stamps. Being Pre Med I have to take advantage of my Stamp Time when I can. So I am ready to start my Hanna Purchases for that get together. Your blogs are so awesome for ideas. I cant wait.

Hi, Im from Australia so we don't have Thanksgiving as such. I think every meal should have a mansize super serve of THANKS-GIVING! It is good for your heart and actually burns up calories.
